Choices, choices, choices! Grand Central Market – a historic downtown landmark since 1917 – hosts a variety of cuisines and cultures of L.A. I went on a Saturday afternoon – probably one of the busiest times to visit, opps – but I am so glad I got to experience this hustling and bustling marketplace. It was fun to stroll through the market, check out all of the fresh produce and treats for sale, and be amazed at the patience of some of the people waiting in superrr long lines for their food (Egg Slut had the longest line by far). I ordered the Sausage & Egg muffin (house-made turkey sausage, over medium egg, cheddar cheese and honey mustard aioli in a warm brioche bun - I also added avocado) and it was one of the most delicious breakfasts I've had in Los Angeles! This is a really fun place to take out of town guests to in particular.
A true culinary gem in the middle of the city, check out all of the vendors here before you plan your trip to 317 S Broadway; Los Angeles, CA 90013. Get ready for so many people & so many choices. Bon Appetit!

Chinatown is a neighborhood in Downtown L.A. that became a commercial center for Chinese and other Asian businesses in Central L.A. in 1938. Today it is a bustling neighborhood that is rich in culture, full of Chinese knick-knacks for purchase, authentic restaurants to try, and quite a few tourists (but without it feeling too busy and overwhelming). My goal is to come back to this magical L.A. gem for the Chinese New Year celebration – I’ve heard the festivities make for an experience rich in Chinese culture and an overall special and memorable event. I’d recommend starting your own Chinatown adventure in the Old Chinatown Plaza just north of W. College Street between N Broadway and Hill.
