6 months ago, I started my journey with the National Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Association. I’ve spent a good chunk of my life preparing, rearranging my full-time work schedule to attend all of my trainings (thanks to my amazing boss), learning about each of the laws that protect our abused & neglected youth, and my favorite part - I visited the Children’s Court in LA for an entire day, observing dependency court hearings and meeting children in the foster system. On April 18, 2019 I was sworn in with my cohort by Judge Zeidler, and I am now a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate for foster youth in LA for the next 2 years, joining them on court appearances, making recommendations to the judge, and advocating for their overall physical/mental health needs. I am feeling very privileged to have the opportunity to do this work! #CASA For more information on how you can get involved with CASA, please check out these links:

COMMUNITY BUILDINGIf you hadn't already noticed, I love the City of Angeles. More than anything, I want this city - and the people in it - to thrive. My goal is to continue finding ways to serve and better our community, and I'll share some of my efforts in this space.
*Please note that this page does not nearly cover all ways in which I aim to help our community - either by donating, educating myself on important issues, calling legislators, volunteering, and more. We all have a part to play in making the world a better place. If you would like any free press for your L.A. non-profit or charitable event, please contact me at: [email protected] for me to include this information on my blog and e-newsletters.
