Hello! quick question, can the stairs get crowded or is always pretty empty? What time would you recommend going to avoid any possible crowds. I would like to snap some pictures. :) Thank you and I love your blog!!

Hi Veronica, I would suggest going at any time! Even if there are some people there, I am sure they will move along so you can each get your picture taken. It's hard to say a time when no one will be there. I went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all! Hope that helps. And thank you so much! :)

Hi I am reading your article 5/26/15 Silverlake Heart Stairs and the information is incorrect on who painted them. Can you please credit the correct artists: Mandon Bossi @gypsea_mc and Carla O'Brien @carlaobriencarla if you look at either of our instagrams and scroll down you will see an original post of the 3 of us painting the stairs.

The design is amazing and an eye-catching one. Hope I could see it in person. When I got a chance to travel in LA I will consider visiting this stair.

L.A. IS NO STRANGER TO STREET & PUBLIC ART

When I first moved to L.A, I had never before seen so much beautiful, colorful street art in my entire life! I admire and appreciate all of the beautiful, artistic souls we have in this city who paint incredible murals for others to enjoy & be inspired by.

I'm also a fan of public art because 1) it give individuals a platform to express themselves, 2) promotes the importance of art, creativity, and imagination in a society that thrives on structure, and 3) challenges us to stop and ask ourselves "Wait... What is that? How does that make me feel? What does this represent to me or my community?"
